Christmas Crowdfunding 2018
What is Christmas Crowdfunding?
Each year the Foundation runs a Christmas crowdfunding campaign to raise monies for six non-profit organisations supporting people living in the inner north. We deliver collection jars to local traders in the Inner North and for every dollar donated by the public the Foundation doubles (up to $1,000 per charity).
Scaling Up in 2018
Last year the Christmas Crowdfunding campaign raised a total of $11,000 from over 20 local businesses, and our longstanding partner Melbourne Indie Voices. Monies raised went to six local community organisations supporting Melbourne’s inner north. This year we’ve scaled up to raise even more funds for:
- Foundation House
- Asylum Seekers Resource Centre
- The Lighthouse Foundation
- Women’s Health in the North
- Koorie Tiddas Youth Choir at VACCA
- Free to Feed
In 2018 we are set to break our record with 27 local traders in Melbourne’s inner north joining in. Our partnership with Melbourne Indie Voices has continued to thrive and we thank them for raising $7,000 in December from their annual end of year concert.
