Craig Kenny – OAM announcement
We’ve been hard at work with making great grants, but wanted to share some great news. We’re thrilled that Inner North Community Foundation Director Craig Kenny has received an OAM in the Australia Day honours, for service to the community.
Australia Day honours provide an opportunity to recognise the achievements of individuals who make extraordinary contributions to communities across Australia. Craig’s contribution to the community spans more than 20 years, and has seen him serve as Board Member, Chair and Director for local city councils, organisations and foundations.
Supported by Moreland, Darebin and Yarra City Councils, IntoWork Australia established the Inner North Community Foundation in 2007 as a community foundation for the region, with a particular focus on community projects that assist disadvantaged people to find their way into work.
Craig’s much-valued contribution as a Board Member of IntoWork Australia and as current Director of the Foundation has assisted in being able to distribute more than $3.2 million to more than 140 community organisations in Melbourne’s inner north, supporting thousands of people on their journey to work.
The Foundation would like to extend our congratulations to Craig on receipt of this well-deserved honour.
