Kevin Breen, Chair

Kevin Breen worked in local government in the northern suburbs for nearly 20 years, much of this time as a General Manager at Darebin City Council. Kevin is passionate about social justice and creating pathways to promote employment through entrepreneurship. Kevin is a Director of Inner Northern Group Training and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Genevieve Timmons, Deputy Chair
Genevieve Timmons has strong roots in the inner northern suburbs and brings to the Foundation over 25 years experience in philanthropic grant making, both in Australia and internationally. Genevieve is currently Philanthropic Executive of Portland House Foundation and a Director of the George Hicks Foundation. She is also a board member of the Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture and the Indigenous Leadership Fellowship; a Fellow of Leadership Victoria and a Senior Fellow of the Johns Hopkins International Fellows in Philanthropy Program (Baltimore USA).

Hon. Alan Brown was a Member of Parliament in Victoria for 18 years and has had a long-standing involvement in numerous community based organisations. Alan is Director of a number of companies and Chairs Inner Northern Group Training, a not-for-profit employment and training company based in Preston. Alan is a founding member and Chair of the Bass Coast Community Foundation and is recipient of the Queens Silver Jubilee and Australian Centenary medals.
Elizabeth Board, Director

Elizabeth Board is Development Manager at Camberwell Grammar School and Executive Director of Camberwell Grammar Foundation. Elizabeth is active on hospital boards and committees and has a keen interest in employment pathways through her business, Arts Associates, which supports young and emerging artists, and her position as Chair of Australian Apprenticeship Centre, MAS National.
Elena Callipari, Director
Elena Callipari is a qualified lawyer and has extensive experience in the public sector, most recently at the Department of Human Services - Housing. Elena brings strong expertise in communications, project management, strategic planning and analytical thinking and has strong values around integrity, professionalism and teamwork. Elena is committed to her community’s development through her involvement in local housing and community development projects and her involvement in her children’s education.
Ron Exiner, Director

Ron Exiner is a resident of Clifton Hill and has a wealth of experience in corporate governance, strategic planning and accountability. Ron has an extensive background in local government across the northern suburbs and has a keen interest in history and dance therapy.
Michael Francis, Director

Michael Francis is Company Director of Pneuvay Engineering in Coburg and spent much of his formative years in Coburg. Michael serves on the City of Moreland’s Audit Committee and has been a Director of Apprenticeships Plus since 1987 during which time it has grown significantly. Michael Chairs Process Plus and is enthusiastic about youth, employment and the opportunities that the Foundation presents to the local community.
Melanie Raymond, Director
Melanie Raymond is a lifelong resident of Moreland and in 2008 was awarded Moreland “Woman of the Year” for outstanding achievement in advocacy and representation in advancing the status of women. Melanie has 15 years experience in media and public relations and is active on numerous boards and committees including being Chairperson of Youth Projects Inc, an independent welfare agency operating throughout Melbourne’s northern suburbs and the City of Melbourne. Youth Projects won the Melbourne 2010 Award for outstanding service to the Melbourne CBD.
David Redfearn, Director
David Redfearn has over 30 years experience in employment and education and his recent roles include Regional Industry Career Adviser for the northern region at Australian Industry Group. David has lived in the northern suburbs for most of his life and is active on a number of community committees and networks in a range of areas including the environment, employment and rotary.
Sharon Nathani, Executive Officer
Sharon Nathani is the Executive Officer for the Inner North Community Foundation and a local resident of Yarra City. With over 15 years experience across the industries of philanthropy, arts, and finance, Sharon is a multi disciplined manager with a vast depth of knowledge. Sharon is passionate about fund development and philanthropy having previously managed the Australia Cultural Fund.
Miles Openshaw, Communications Officer
Miles Openshaw graduated from Deakin University with a Master of Arts in Professional Communication in 2009 and joined the Inner North Community Foundation in 2010. Miles was the Marketing Coordinator for The National Young Writer's Festival 2010 and was also the Marketing Coordinator of a Brunswick based independent magazine, 'The Lifted Brow'.
