The Settler Families Giving Back Fund was created by Jim Crosthwaite and Sandra Edmonds in 2023 with the Australian Communities Foundation, This year a new partnership has been formed with our Foundation to establish the Settler Families Giving Back – Dardi Munwurro Fund.

The Fund was created to support equitable responses to the impacts of colonisation on First Nation people.

Jim and Sandra live close to Dardi Munwurro, an Aboriginal led organisation that runs family violence support programs and youth services.

The Settler Families Giving Back Dardi Munwurro Fund is based on an acknowledgement of the dispossession and deep trauma inflicted on First Nations Peoples by colonisation, and on building partnerships that pave the way to social justice, trust, understanding and healing.
