As temperatures drop across Melbourne’s inner north, more people are facing winter without a safe place to sleep.

For those experiencing homelessness, cold nights aren’t just uncomfortable, they’re dangerous. WARM Inc’s Winter Shelter program provides a warm, safe place to stay during the coldest weeks of the year.

What your support makes possible

The Winter Shelter program operates in trusted community spaces and works in partnership with local outreach services, who refer people most in need of a safe place to stay during the coldest weeks of the year.

Guests are provided with a warm bed, meals and essential supplies, along with support to connect into longer-term services and pathways.

Why it matters

Demand for support continues to grow, with more people experiencing housing stress and isolation. At the same time, we are hearing from people in social housing who feel disconnected and stigmatised.

A coordinated, community-based response helps ensure everyone is supported with dignity.
